今天下午，我去会议室参加了英语讲故事比赛。一进会议室，最前面一排有几位老师，后面依次是从三年级到五年级的参赛选手。我发现，我还挺喜欢比赛的。因为比赛前的那种心情很紧张，但紧张中又夹带着几分兴奋。
先是五年级比赛，之后依次往下。轮到我了。站到台上的时候，我的双腿有些发抖，翻开书读时，第一句读错了，我赶紧改进。为了不让自己再读错，我让自己的心冷静下来。双腿也不再抖得那么厉害了。我讲的'故事是《爱唱歌的鸟，内容是有一只爱唱歌的鸟，国王把它关进笼子里，给它美味的食物，可它就是不唱。最后国王把它放走了，她又像以前那样唱歌了。现在所有人都很高兴。讲完了，我走下台，回到自己的座位上。有一个女孩跟我的故事一样，她很有感情把它背诵了出来，还做着动作。我是读的，有一点感情，没有做动作。我心想，下次讲故事要背下来，要有感情和动作。
这次英语讲故事比赛真有意思。

It was March 12th. It was Chinese Tree Planting Day. The weather was nice. I went to plant trees with my parents. After we got to the park, we began to work. We dug holes and put the trees into the holes. My mother and I watered the trees. Trees are very important for people. They can stop the wind and sound. Growing trees means saving people ourselves. We worked very hard.
When the sun went down, we came back home. We were very tired, but we felt very happy. What a nice Tree Planting Day!

Such as: train, ball, balloon, car, doll, plane and skateboard. After that we went to zoo. I saw rabbit, tigers, snails, and lions, hamsters, budgies and zebras. My sister asked me “what do your like?” I answered “I like skipping rope. That's very nice.” She said “Here is you prize, Sunny!” “Oh, thank you! I love it!” I shouted. We sat under a tree. After lunch we drank some milk.
Today I was very happy!
